You'll love

The Marie-Antoinette

A replica of the Queen's bedchamber at the Château de Versailles, with a majestic baldaquin bed draped in the finest silks and set behind a gilded balustrade.

Once upon a time

A young king

Listed as Historic Monuments, the salons of the Suite Impériale have long been home to famous and royal guests.

In 1721, the mansion at 15, place Vendôme was the residence of the Duchesse de Gramont and she had the honor of welcoming the young king Louis XV, then 11 years old, so that he could stand at the window and watch the parade of the Ottoman ambassador, who had come to render homage to the glory of France.

The event was so sumptuous it would go down in history, not least because it was the first time spectators saw camels walking through the streets of Paris.
